Taking care of your skin is not just about cleaning it and applying cream. You will also need to eat a healthy diet, get enough sleep, exercise, and manage your stress. Your skin type will also determine whether you need to do other treatments, such as exfoliating or using masks. Have soft, clean and hydrated skin

Wash your face twice a day.

This will allow you to eliminate excess sebum, have a better look and prevent breakouts. Wash your face in the morning when you get up and in the evening before going to bed. Use lukewarm water and a cleanser suitable for your skin type. You can clean your face with your clean hands, a washcloth or a soft sponge. Then apply a tonic lotion and a moisturizer.

If you wear makeup, don’t forget to remove your makeup well at the end of the day.

Remember to take care of the skin on your neck, it needs some attention too!

Avoid water that is too hot.

When you take your shower or bath, prefer to use lukewarm water rather than very hot. A good hot bath may help you relax, but it will also remove the natural oils from your skin, which will tend to dry out.

If you have dry skin, use a moisturizing shower gel that contains natural oils, such as sweet almond, coconut, or olive oil.

Gently dry your skin with a towel.

Gently dry the skin on your face and body, dabbing it with a towel. It would be better to leave it somewhat damp, so that your skin can absorb the remaining moisture and rehydrate.

Moisturize your still damp skin.

Apply moisturizer to your face and body milk or butter to your body. Adapt the product you use according to the season. In winter, use a richer product, and in summer, a lighter product.

To protect your skin from the harmful effects of the sun, choose a cream containing a sun filter.

All skin types should be hydrated, even oily skin! In this case, opt for a light cream or a special moisturizing gel for oily skin

Exfoliate your skin.

Exfoliate once a week to remove dead skin cells and get soft skin. You can then use an exfoliating product, a loofah or an exfoliating sponge. Be sure to use a product that is gentler on your face than on your body. Always remember that the skin on your face is much more delicate than the skin on your arms or legs.

Choose your scrub carefully.

The larger the grains, the more abrasive the product will be. If you have sensitive skin, then avoid nutshell scrubs.

If you have dry skin, you may need to exfoliate every day. Do not press too hard and always apply moisturizer afterward

Make up carefully.

Don’t be afraid to put on makeup, but be sure to choose your products wisely. Use makeup products that are appropriate for your skin type and always remove makeup before going to bed to prevent breakouts . If you wear makeup every day, sometimes take breaks of one or two days to let your skin rest.

Powder makeup is ideal for oily skin and liquid or cream products more suitable for dry skin.

Regularly clean your makeup brushes to avoid the buildup of bacteria that you would then spread on your face. You could then cause acne breakouts.
