We found that CBD products have very little, if any, CBD. They may also contain more CBD than what is listed on the label.
Some CBD products may contain harmful chemicals.
This is particularly concerning for cats due to their increased sensitivity towards medications and toxic substances.
How to Locate Safe CBD for Cats
1. Look for products that have the Certified Seal from the U.S. Hemp Authority (TM) or the National Animal Supplements Council Quality Seal (NASC), as these seals meet industry standards and have passed an audit by a third party.
2. Only use products made for cats that contain CBD oil.
3. Talk to a seasoned veterinarian.
